Summary of organization

National Youth Equity Forum (NYEF) is a national collective of state collectives led by socially excluded youth in India. The collectives is led by young leaders from Bihar, UP and Delhi at present with an aim to become a pan india membership based youth led movement towards nurturing young leaders from among marginalised communities and equipping them to build an inclusive socities based on constitutional values in coming years.

NYEF is an outcome of various young leaders across 9 states of India coming together in 2015 towards raising their voices to be included into SDGs frame and released a "National Youth Charter" specifically drawing the attentions of the world on various issues faced by socially excluded youth in India, which is Dalit, Adivasi, excluded Muslims, Nomadic Tribes /De-Notified Tribes community. It is a membership based forum comprising of more than 10,000 youth organized in the form of Bihar Ambedkar Students’ Forum (BASF), Uttar Pradesh Youth Equity Forum (UPYEF) and Delhi Youth Equity Forum (DYEF). It aims to develop leadership of socially excluded youth and children towards promoting equity and inclusion in the field of leadership and life skills, rights and entitlements in education, particulary access to higher education, Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR), employability enhancement and entrepreneurial education.
