Description of activity
The eminent speakers are civil society activists working in the field of gender equality and girls and women's rights for many decades. They are also part of the movement to end child marriage as members of Girls Not Brides. They are: Blue Veins from Pakistan, Mahila Jan Adhikar Samiti (MJAS), India. The speakers will share the extent to which laws are able to effect social change in an environment of closing civic space, what are challenges to movement building as well as approaches that are working to end child early and forced marriage and build agency of girls.
