@3/ Nepal organizing committee for WSF2024 is holding a Meeting May 8 and 9 in Kathmandu.

@2/ Decisions of WSF 2024 Preparation meeting held in Kathmandu, Nepal- 9 April 2023:

1. A National Organizing Committee is formed (the organizing committee is named as National Facilitation Committee)- the members of the National Facilitation Committee comprise the representatives from social movements, grassroots networks, federations, alliances, CSO networks etc. The NFC will be up to 31 people.

2. The National Facilitation Committee (NFC) was formed by a meeting of the National General Council (NGC)- all the interested organizations and movements who agree with the principle of World Social Forum are the member of the NGC and it is open as more organizations can join anytime

3. An independent secretariat will be established within 2 weeks.

4. A website of WSF 2024 will be launched in 2 weeks.

5. Sub-committees (task teams) will be formed soon and the General Council has requested the GC members to volunteer based on their interests and capacities. ToR for the task team will be developed.

6. Venue needs to be booked this week.

7. Detail minute of the general council will be developed in 3 days.

WSF International Council approves the proposal for the 2024 world edition in Nepal
@1/ Meeting on March 16, 2023, the International Council of the World Social Forum decided to support the holding of the next centralized edition of the process in the city of Kathmandu, Nepal, in 2024. The indicative dates are March 15-20.

The proposal was presented to the Board by a range of Nepalese and Asian organizations and considered suitable for continuing efforts and preparations.
A next meeting of the International Council was scheduled for next April(date to be decided by consultation), when the progress in logistical and material issues should be detailed, as well as the articulation of regional and international processes should be discussed.
An organization from Asia involved in the construction of the WSF 2024 Nepal will be nominated to join the Expanded Secretariat of the International Council of the WSF

Consejo Internacional del FSM aprueba propuesta de edición mundial 2024 en Nepal
Reunido el 16 de marzo de 2023, el Consejo Internacional del Foro Social Mundial decidió apoyar la realización de la próxima edición centralizada del proceso en la ciudad de Katmandú, Nepal, en 2024. Las fechas indicativas son del 15 al 20 de marzo.

La propuesta fue presentada a al Consejo por una variedad de organizaciones nepalíes y asiáticas y se consideró adecuada para continuar los esfuerzos y preparativos.
Para el proximo abril (fecha a decidir por consulta) se programó una próxima reunión del Consejo Internacional, en la que se deberán detallar los avances en temas logísticos y materiales, así como discutir la articulación de procesos regionales e internacionales.
Una organización de Asia involucrada en la construcción del FSM 2024 Nepal será nominada para unirse al Secretariado Ampliado del Consejo Internacional del FSM

Conselho Internacional do FSM aprova a proposta de edição mundial 2024 no Nepal
Reunido em 16 de março de 2023, o Conselho Internacional do Fórum Social Mundial decidiu apoiar a realização da próxima edição centralizada do processo na cidade de Katmandu, no Nepal, em 2024. As datas indicativas são 15 a 20 de março.

A proposta foi apresentada ao Conselho por um conjunto de organizações nepalesas e asiáticas e considerada adequada para que os esforços e preparativos tenham continuidade.
Uma próxima reunião do Conselho Internacional ficou agendada para o próximo abril (data a decidir por consulta), quando o avanço em questões logísticas e materiais deve ser detalhado, bem como a articulação dos processos regional e internacional deve ser discutido.
Uma organização da Ásia envolvida na construção do FSM 2024 Nepal será indicada para integrar a Secretaria Expandida do Conselho Internacional do FSM

Le Conseil international du FSM approuve la proposition pour l'édition mondiale de 2024 au Népal
Réuni le 16 mars 2023, le Conseil international du Forum social mondial a décidé de soutenir la tenue de la prochaine édition centralisée du processus dans la ville de Katmandou, au Népal, en 2024. Les dates indicatives sont du 15 au 20 mars.

La proposition a été présentée au Conseil par une série d'organisations népalaises et asiatiques et a été jugée appropriée pour poursuivre les efforts et les préparatifs.
Une prochaine réunion du Conseil international a été programmée pour le mois d'avril prochain (date à déterminer par consultation), au cours de laquelle l'avancement des questions logistiques et matérielles devrait être détaillé, et l'articulation des processus régionaux et internationaux devrait être discutée.
Une organisation d'Asie impliquée dans la construction du FSM 2024 au Népal sera nommée pour rejoindre le Secrétariat élargi du Conseil international du FSM.
